During the last twelve years, I have worked on the Compass team as a founder, school board chair, classroom teacher, teacher mentor, school culture coordinator, and elementary school principal. As a certified Love & Logic® instructor, charter writing committee member, and co-author of a state approved dissemination grant to help other charter schools learn from Compass's success, I am committed to the mission, vision, and philosophy of the Compass Model. My passion for working with children, teachers, and parents supports my ultimate goal for defining, providing, and advancing what is best for kids.
Before moving to Boise with my family in 2001, I lived in Washington, Colorado, Utah, Illinois, Virginia, and New York. I am married to my husband of 25 years and have 2 daughters, 2 sons, a son-in-law, and a beautiful granddaughter.
I have already had the opportunity to meet many of you. But I am again excited to be at Compass, and look forward to working together to make this an exceptionally great year!
Elementary Vice Principal
I have been married to my wonderful wife since 2005, and we are enjoying raising our children in the family-friendly city of Meridian. When I am not at Compass, our family has fun camping, swimming, and playing sports.
It pleases me to contribute to this exceptional school’s learning culture and safe academic environment. I am excited to meet new students and parents and to work with all Compass families throughout the year.
Secondary Vice Principal & IT Director
I was born in Lakeland, Florida but grew up in Miami, Florida. I spent 8 years in the Air Force Reserve as a Security Police. My Bachelor of Arts degree (Elementary Education) is from Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. In 2000 I earned a Master of Science (Teaching Computers in Education) at the University of Phoenix in Tempe, AZ. My most recent certificate earned was from Boise State University Graduate School (School Technology Coordinator).
I began teaching in 1993 and have taught several grades but mostly computers to Junior High students. For the past 5 years I’ve had the privilege of heading up the Technology department. I have been part of the Compass Family since Aug. 2008 and do enjoy the students, staff, and administration. I am happily married to my wonderful bride Debbie, who is also employed at Compass as the second grade teacher. We have 3 great boys (Luke, Austin and Koben).
I enjoy most outdoor activities such as golfing, camping, hunting, 4 wheeling, biking and playing sports with my boys.
School Counselor - Elementary
Hi my name is Scott Ziemer. This is my first year at Compass and I am excited to join the team at many levels. I have been a counselor at the elementary level in Nampa for the past 11 years. Before that I had similar roles at NNU, and in Boise and Meridian. I started off teaching 5th grade, but now enjoy helping students navigate the many aspects of being "school" successful and learning to improve their education. Whether it's about behavior choices, career goals, or seeking better friendships, I believe every age and every situation can be a worthwhile learning experience. I also enjoy providing support and coming along side staff and parents; it truly takes many people to keep making progress and create that positive school culture.
I have been married to my wife and true friend, Judy, for 29 years. We have two daughters: Cambria just graduated from the Environmental Science and Forestry school in New York with a degree in environmental engineering and then proceeded to get married 3 weeks later. Mariah will be a junior at Biola University, plays college soccer, and loves art. In my spare time I like to travel (usually college towns these days), hike, swim, and play tennis to keep active.
I look forward to many ways I hope to promote the success of Compass Charter and watch students "shoot for the moon."
I’m Mrs. Bullock. I am excited to be a part of the Compass Public Charter School family as the K-12 Response to Intervention (RtI) Coordinator and Instructor. Before joining the amazing teaching team at Compass, I was an Instructional Coach. I have experience as an elementary school teacher, K-12 Professional Development Coordinator, Idaho Teaching Network teacher, K-6 Professional Learning Community Lead, as well as an Idaho Leads teacher.
I am a Boise State Bronco! I graduated from BSU in 2008 with my K-8 Elementary Education degree and recently graduated with a Master of Educational Leadership with a PreK-12 principal endorsement.
I am excited to be working close to home and for a fantastic school. I live in Meridian with my husband, a software engineer, and two children entering the 8th and 3rd grades.
I am looking forward to working with the staff from both campuses and students in achieving great success!

Cindy Stover has been part of the Compass staff since 2005. Her first assignment was as clerk of the board of directors. She added the role of business manager in 2009. She is grateful to work with an outstanding board, talented administrators, and an amazing staff.
Mrs. Stover is a graduate of Northwest Nazarene University. She has worked with a variety of Idaho charter schools since 1999 and believes in the importance of school choice.
Hi, my name is Vanessa Beebe and I’m the Systems Manager here at Compass. My background starts in the corporate world as an Executive Secretary for several large companies in Texas. When my family moved to Idaho I was directed by friends to apply for the Elementary Computer teacher position at Victory Charter School in Nampa. I was hired on the spot a week before school started in the fall of 2006. For the past nine years my job morphed from Elementary Computer teacher to the IT Director of Victory Charter School and IT Contract Services for Liberty Charter School and Legacy Charter School.
I was ready for a change and was originally hired by Compass for the Front Office Secretary position. When the Systems Manager position opened early this summer Mrs. Trudeau thought I would be a great fit. I enjoy working in database management and Compass has many databases to be maintained. I still assist with IT services at the Cherry Lane campus along with training teachers at both campuses.
On a personal note, I am an avid reader. I love camping with my two boys, Valen and Vincent, my husband Brad and our boxer, Buddy. When I’m not reading or camping you can find me at my gym, The Militia Box, doing Crossfit training for the next Spartan Race that will be coming to Idaho.
I have been a part of Compass since its inception in 2005. I have enjoyed my time here at Compass watching the students learn, grow and mature. Being a part of their daily lives, has brought me great joy. I have even heard I earned the nickname "School Mom" among some of the students.
I have lived in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Tennessee, Arizona, Texas, and Maryland all before finally settling in Idaho which I am now pleased to call home. I have been married for 26 years and have three children. I enjoy movies, reading, riding my cruiser bicycle, spending time with family, church and, of course, Compass.
Secretary- Junior High School
I was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, although I do not ski. I have worked many different places in the role as a secretary and found I enjoy working with people and helping them. I have been married to my perfect companion Shad for 18 years. We lived in Sherwood, Oregon for three years before moving to Idaho, where I am able to enjoy four seasons again. I love to read, exercise, travel to see families, and support my kids in their activities.
