Grades 7-9 please call 888-5847

K-4 grade classes celebrate February birthdays on Friday, Feb. 12 in conjunction with Valentine’s Day.   If your student chooses to bring Valentine cards or treats to school, (s)he must bring enough for their entire class.  This is a great time to review the expectations we have here at school for including everyone and being kind to every student. Students that choose to bring cards or treats can hand them out during the birthday celebration in the afternoon. Students may choose to write names on the cards or bring them without names and just give one to each classmate. Students are not required to bring valentine cards.

5th-8th grade classes do a class activity instead of exchanging Valentines. We don't encourage dating (boyfriends/girlfriends) in middle school at Compass and therefore, we discourage the exchange of Valentines for the purpose of promoting these relationships.

Student Drop Off

Please help student drop off to run smoothly by having students ready to unload once your vehicle is parallel and stopped in the unloading zone. This means coats, hats, gloves, backpacks on and hugs and kisses completed.

Thank you to those parents who are remembering to check-in at the office for a badge to enter the building or playground area!

At the secondary campus, if your student has a large project to unload, please park rather than unloading in the quick drop off zone.

Lost and Found

Remind your K-12 student to check the Lost and Found at school.  K-6 items are also posted on our Facebook page.

2016-17 Calendar

After much discussion during the January Board Meeting, a 2016-17 school calendar was approved. The approved calendar is attached to this newsletter. In an effort to assure that the school and each student meets the 96% attendance requirement, we provide the calendar as early as possible so families can plan vacations around the school’s scheduled breaks.
