Student Drop Off
Please help student drop off to run smoothly by having students ready to unload once your vehicle is parallel and stopped in the unloading zone. This means coats, hats, gloves, backpacks on and hugs and kisses completed.                             At the secondary campus, if your student has a large project to unload, please park rather than unloading in the quick drop off zone.

Elementary Lost and Found
Please check the school's Facebook page for pictures of lost student belongings at the elementary building.  https://www.facebook.com/Compass.CPCS/

Student Safety
With so many new students attending Compass at the beginning of this school year, the administration has been lenient regarding parents/guardians walking students into the building to their classroom(s) each day.
Now that we are halfway through the year, hopefully your children are feeling familiar and comfortable enough with the school to make it to their classroom(s) on their own from the parent drop-off line or from the front of the school. If you must walk your student into the playground area or building, please stop at the school office first in order to get a visitor’s badge. Our staff will be looking for adults with visitor badges once an adult enters the playground area and/or a building. Thank you for your help in this matter, our goal is to keep ALL students safe!

National School Choice Week
January 24-31 is National School Choice Week. It is a great time to be a kid with so many choices in education. These choices make a parent's job more difficult as it requires researching the right "fit" for each child in the family. However, I think we can all appreciate the fact that the days of "one size fits all" education are gone. Help celebrate school choice by visiting http://www.bluum.org/community-engagement/#

On January 27th, our 8th grade students will be visiting the State Capitol to celebrate school choice on the capitol steps, tour the capitol and visit with legislators. Last year, our 3rd and 4th grade students participated in Day at the Capitol. If you visit the website link above, you will see some of our Compass students holding the school choice banner.
