Family Math and Game Night
Please Join Us! 
March 3, 2016, 5-7 p.m. in the Cherry Lane Gym.
There will be hotdogs, chips, and water for $3 a plate or $10 for the family. We will have a silent auction with class baskets and grade level quilts. Come have some family fun playing games!

Student Led Conferences
Spring conferences are just around the corner. Please make plans to support your child's education by attending either a Thursday evening or Friday morning conference. See the attached flyer for more details.

Pennies for Patients
We are honored to join the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for another year of 'Pennies for Patients'! The program helps fund LLS' mission in providing blood cancer research, education, and patient services. Each Jr High & High School student will be sent home with a 'Pennies for Patients' collection box. There will also be a collection box at the main desk at Tech Lane Campus and Cherry Lane Campus. We can help support by collecting coins/bills over the course of February 29th - March 18th. You can also make an online donation at, click on 'Find a participating school', type in 'Compass Public Charter School' and click on our school, and on the left hand side you can enter an amount and 'donate today'. Help us as Compass partners together with LLS in fighting blood cancers!

SAT Announcement
It is time for high school juniors to start registering for the SAT which takes place Tuesday, April 12th. They will receive a registration voucher that will be used to register online through College Board ( It is CRITICAL that the student NOT lose their voucher because the school only has enough for each student. The deadline to register is Thursday, March 17th before we leave for Spring Break. If you have issues with your registration, contact College Board at 866-756-7346. 
Great job to all the basketball teams this year; both boys and girls as well as middle school and high school had fun and successful seasons!  Congratulations to the JV boys for placing 2nd in the district tournament.

Middle school track - track will be starting soon, however, we are still looking for coaches to lead the team.  Practices are scheduled to start on Monday, Mar. 7 after school for any interested 7th and 8th graders.  More information will be forthcoming as soon as coaches are hired.  If you are interested in helping, please contact Mr. Folk or Mrs. Connelly ( or

Upcoming intramurals for 5th and 6th graders-flyers for volleyball intramural sign-ups should have arrived home in your student's Friday folders, and basketball flyers will be coming soon.

The next booster board meeting will be held April 5 at 6:30 in the cafeteria at CLC. During the next booster meeting, elections will be held for the following positions: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.  As parents you are already a member of the booster association and are encouraged to come to the meetings.  It is, in part, because of the involvement of parents that our sports programs exist, and the more involved parents are the stronger it will become.  Please consider playing a small part by running for a position on the board.  

Don't miss out! March 17 at 6:00 at the student-led conferences (at TLC) boosters will be drawing and announcing the winners to their Athletic Raffle.  Boosters has introduced a raffle in which any student wishing to participate and earn their sports fees for free for next year.  For more information about prizes, cost or earning the fees please read the attached flyer or contact Josh Folk ( or Paula Connelly ( You do not need to be present to win.
