Student Led Conferences
Thank you to all of those who provided food and/or set-up and clean-up for conferences; our teachers are very appreciative!

We had an excellent turn-out for conferences. If you were unable to attend, the artifacts in the conference portfolios will be sent home with your student in the next two days. Please sit down with your child to go over the contents of the conference portfolio.

Lockdown Drill
Per requirement, we conducted a lockdown drill on Monday, November 2. Our Security Staff, Ryan Beard and our assigned School Resource Officer, Ryan Rhoades, helped us with the drill. This is always a difficult activity as we want our students to feel safe and secure at school and yet we have to discuss the possibility of something bad happening. Please help us assure your child that they are safe at school.

Although daylight savings has provided lighter mornings again, this will only last a couple of weeks. Please remind your children to be safe in the mornings by watching for cars when walking or riding bikes to school. Also, those waiting at bus stops need to stay on the sidewalk, as far back from the road as possible.
Food Drive
We are beginning a food drive that will take place between now and Thanksgiving break. Boxes will be available at both campuses. Please watch your email for further details.

Student Performances
We have several student performances starting this month and going in to December. Come out and support our students in their talents!

Congratulations Varsity Volleyball
Our girl's volleyball team took second place in Districts which earned them the right to participate in State. Although they didn't go very far in State, they had an excellent season and we are very proud of them!

Basketball Underway
The basketball season is now underway. Check the school website under the events tab for upcoming games. The high school teams play at Sawtooth Middle School as our "home" gym. Come out and show your school spirit by support the high school teams!

Apple Sales
Apples are available to purchase by either pre-ordering (find a basketball player with an order form) or onsite at the Cherry Lane Campus in the parking lot after school between November 5-14. All proceeds go to the Compass Basketball Program.
