First Day Back
First day back is a B-day for students in 7th-12th.

ISAT Testing
When we return from break, students in 3rd-10th grade will be participating in the required statewide ISAT assessment. K-3rd will take the Idaho Reading Indicator assessment. Please help your student be successful on this assessment by encouraging them to do their best, assuring that they have a healthy breakfast, and a good night's sleep. The State Department of Education evaluates each school based on their students' achievement levels.  Another important way parents can support ISAT testing is by helping your student have excellent attendance during the next month. Please understand that if you come to pick up a student during their testing window, they may not be able to leave right away. Thank you in advance for your support!

Booster Club Meeting
There will be a Booster Club meeting on Tuesday, April 11 at 7:00 at the Cherry Lane Campus. We will be discussing our fees for next year and holding board elections for next year as well.

Final Registration
All returning students (not registered during conferences) and new students (drawn in the lottery) need to register May 8, 9am-1pm or May 9, 4-7pm at CLC. May 9 is the last day to register your student or their seat will be relinquished.

Spring School Attire
When the sun comes out, students get excited to dress in their spring/summer clothes. It is important to keep a few things in mind for all ages:
  • It will still be cool in the mornings, make sure the outfit allows for outdoor play and/or PE
  • Students have probably grown since last summer so shorts/skirts may now be too short (shorts/skirts need to be no shorter than mid-thigh)
  • Shirts need to come to the shoulder and hide all straps (sheer shirts must also have a shirt underneath that comes to the shoulder and hides straps)
  • Leggings can be worn with a shirt that covers the bottom
Nutrition Tip
Did you know that thousands of beneficial phytochemicals are all around you in the fruits, vegetables, and grains that you eat? Nutritionists have a long way to go in identifying all the phytochemicals and their functions, but what we do know is that they come from plant based foods.  While a multi-vitamin can help supplement the vitamins and minerals that our body needs, it does not contain enough phytochemicals.  A diet rich in fresh veggies, fruits, and grains will help ensure you get the phytochemicals your body needs.
