Elementary Traffic Pattern
Please be considerate to our neighboring homeowners when dropping off and picking up students from school. Make sure not to block driveways or cause safety issues by parking in unauthorized areas or blocking traffic around subdivision entrances. It is important to Compass that our neighbors know we respect them and value them as part of our shared community.
Did you know that the recommended amount of sodium for children between the ages of
9-13 is 2,200 mg per day? The recommended amount of sodium for ages 14-18 is 2,300 mg per day. Prepackaged foods are notorious for containing large amounts of sodium. For example a single cup of Maruchan chicken flavored ramen noodles contains 1,190 mg of sodium. Although most pasta is low in sodium, it’s the sauce that’s the shocker. One cup of spaghetti sauce can contain 1,000 mg. A suggestion: Keep a close eye on those food labels when you are shopping and try to eat fresh as often as possible.
February is American Heart Month. Make one change for the better. To improve overall cardiovascular health, we suggest at least 150 minutes per week of moderate exercise.
