Power Announcement System
Last Tuesday you should have received a test of our Power Announcement System to your email and voice mail (home and cell). The email is routed through another server, therefore, you may want to check your junk mail file in case the announcement went there. The email announcement will have a link where you can go to update email accounts and phone numbers. It is critical that we have updated contact information as this is the system we will be using to inform parents of school closures and emergencies.

Ski Night
Saturday, January 26 is our first of two nights for skiing/boarding, our other night is and February 23.  Space is limited and offered on a first come first served basis.  To insure you have a seat on the bus and rental equipment available, registration, conduct form and payment are due at the school office by 3:45 Friday, January 18.  The registration and conduct form are attached to this newsletter and will also be available at the school website.

Stampede/Compass Night                                                  The Idaho Stampede is excited to team up with COMPASS HONORS for their Stampede fundraising event! Invite your friends and family to CenturyLink Arena on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15TH to see your Idaho Stampede take on the Santa Cruz Warriors. Also, cheer on your school as they play the Ambrose School under the lights on the Idaho Stampede court at CenturyLink Arena.

Compass Families in Need
Compass staff and parents have created a tradition of coming together to support Compass families in need during the holiday season. There are two parts to supporting this effort, 1. Providing names of those families who need support and 2. Sending in money to purchase cash gift cards for the families. Please email names of families to me at ktrudeau@compasscharter.org and send funds in an envelope marked "Families in Need" to the main office.

Roaring Springs Reading Program
Attached is the information for the Roaring Springs Reading Program.  The reading log form will also be available on the school website so that families can print it from home.  With three weeks of vacation coming up, there is a great opportunity to read and log your hours and earn a Roaring Springs Day Pass. The deadline for submitting reading logs is March 22, 2013 which is the Friday before Spring Break.

December Birthday Celebration Friday, December 14 is birthday celebration day.
