Last Tuesday you should have received a test of our Power Announcement
System to your email and voice mail (home and cell). The email is routed
through another server, therefore, you may want to check your junk mail file in
case the announcement went there. The email announcement will have a link where
you can go to update email accounts and phone numbers. It is critical that
we have updated contact information as this is the system we will be using to
inform parents of school closures and emergencies.
Ski Night Saturday, January 26 is our first of two nights for skiing/boarding, our other night is and February
23. Space is limited and offered on a
first come first served basis. To insure
you have a seat on the bus and rental equipment available, registration, conduct form and payment are due at the school office
by 3:45 Friday, January 18. The registration and conduct form are attached
to this newsletter and will also be available at the school website.
Stampede/Compass Night The
Idaho Stampede is excited to team up with COMPASS HONORS for their
Stampede fundraising event! Invite your friends and family to CenturyLink Arena
on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15TH to see your Idaho Stampede take on the Santa
Cruz Warriors. Also, cheer on your school as they play the Ambrose School under
the lights on the Idaho Stampede court at CenturyLink Arena.
Five Dollars ($5.00) of each ticket purchased through
this program will go back to support Compass. See attached order form for tickets.
December 14 is an early release day for 1-12 grade students,
6-12 7:40-11:40/1-5 9:00-1:00. Kindergarten AM students will follow their
regular schedule 9:00-12:00, Kindergarten PM students will not attend school on
Friday, December 14. Kindergarten PM students will make up the day on the last
day of school by attending the AM shift.
Compass staff and parents have created a tradition of
coming together to support Compass families in need during the holiday season.
There are two parts to supporting this effort, 1. Providing names of those
families who need support and 2. Sending in money to purchase cash gift cards
for the families. Please email names of families to me at
email@example.com and send funds in an envelope marked "Families
in Need" to the main office.
Roaring Springs Reading Program
is the information for the Roaring Springs Reading Program. The reading
log form will also be available on the school website so that families can
print it from home. With three weeks of vacation coming up, there is a
great opportunity to read and log your hours and earn a Roaring Springs Day
Pass. The deadline for submitting reading logs is March 22, 2013 which is the
Friday before Spring Break.
