This week is Red Ribbon Week. This is the perfect opportunity to talk to your kids about drugs and alcohol since they will be discussing the subject this week in class. Mrs. Nagy using a great program to educate students and wanted to share the resources that are available on their website. The Foundation for a Drug-Free World is a nonprofit public benefit corporation that strives to empower youth and adults with factual information about drugs so they can make informed decisions and live drug-free. The website provides informational videos, facts about the 12 most popular drugs, as well as other resources you can download. You can even order informational booklets and/or their documentary for free. If you are interested, check them out here: http://www.drugfreeworld.org/home.html. Students were shown the introduction of the documentary that Drug-Free World provides this morning which you can watch here: http://www.drugfreeworld.org/real-life-stories.html (7:52 minutes). If you would like more resources and information, contact Mrs. Nagy and she can send them your way. There will also be an Anti-Drug Coalition parent presentation on October 30th which is one great resource for information.
